Handgun purchase and revoked license. ?

If I go to a handgun store that is a FFA and purchase a handgun and pay for it, and during my 72 hour waiting period to pick it up I receive a call saying my background check did not go through because my license had been suspended/ revoked apx 10 months ago and I now have it back is that legit?
