Why don't we get more qualified people to run for the presidency?

Yeah, let's get a guy in there who understands economics. Maybe the son of a Harvard-educated economist. But I also want someone who knows and respects the Constitution, maybe a guy who studied Constitutional law. Of course, we'd want to know his past, so let's vote for a guy who has a memoir out detailing his life.
