I think you should give him a chance! If he turns out to be a dud, then there are other fish in the sea. You aren't going to know until you try. Don't let him take advantage of you though. Just have fun with it and if it works, it works. If it doesn't work...tell him to take a hike. You'll have a better understanding of what you want next time. :)
